Breed diseases that you should know before raising them

It is a genetic condition that causes the retina to progressively deteriorate. Bengals have both early onset and inherited forms. This manifests in kittens as young as 2-3 months of age, and the late-onset form appears in cats 2-5 years of age. Both forms begin with night blindness and end with complete blindness.
Care guidelines: There is no cure. Genetic testing (PRA-b) in cats that will be used for breeding is the only way to prevent the birth of affected kittens.
It is a genetic disorder that causes the body to lack the enzyme pyruvate kinase. As a result, red blood cells break down faster than normal. Leads to anemia and related blood problems. It has been noted to be a specific concern in Bengal cats.
Care guidelines: There is no direct cure. Take care of blood disorders/anemia when symptoms recur. (Supportive Care) Genetic testing of cats used for breeding helps prevent the birth of affected kittens.
